Early person, late person, right on time. For your appointment, date...life event?

ree

It’s interesting how we conceptualize our lives into timelines, or some of us do. I wonder how this comparison might have been useful for us. Or even how it started...hmmm. Was it admiration of another’s joyful journey or moment in time that turned into a seeking of similar joy? Like a jealousy or an awakened desire.

Was it structural advice from communal leaders about what would make the group run most smoothly...taking into account an appreciation of our wild AND the need for [peaceful] connection?

What are your thoughts? Have you ever experienced internal conflict related to a timeline you suddenly realized you had a relationship with?

I suppose these relationships might be rooted in primitive needs which we all still have within us. And that we should be gentle with ourselves and others when we realize they are clouding our connection and not helping it. Because that might be what all of our mental structures and timelines are about, right? Maintaining a connection to the divine while we yet breathe in our bodies.

We struggle, this is true. And also, it has never been safer to make up your own timeline. It’s ok if it looks like someone else’s and it’s ok if it doesn’t. You can even build it moment by moment.

And IF you have a moment where you realize you’re out of sync with the life you really want to create for yourself. Be gentle. It will all work out in time.
